I met Megan and Matt last summer at the Creative Brides Wedding Fair at Chafford Park. I knew as soon as I met them that they were the lovely relaxed and creative kind of couple I love working with, so was over the moon when they booked me a few weeks later.
They had set the date for August 13th 2016 at the beautiful Groombridge Place for a relaxed ceremony, followed by a festival themed wedding reception at the stud farm where Megan's mum kept her horses. As a huge horse lover myself, I can't explain to you my excitement at hearing these details!
In April we met for an engagement shoot at the couple's chosen ceremony venue. It's the first time I had visited Groombridge Place, but Megan and Matt however had been there on a few occasions and loved the place - hence why they chose it for their wedding ceremony. They showed me around the beautiful grounds and gardens, and as we chatted and got to know each other I was visually planning in my head some of the fantastic locations I was going to shoot their couple portraits on the day.
It was great getting to know them more and hear more about their incredible upcoming festival wedding, whilst at the same time getting some lovely shots of the two of them to treasure.
Megan and Matt's full festival wedding will be on the blog next week! Stay tuned, you won't want to miss it!
