This might possibly have been one of the most fun weddings I have ever had the pleasure of shooting. There was fun and laughter from the moment I arrived! When I first met Chris & Courtney, they told me then that their friendship group was really important to them and were going to be a big part of their day. And they right. The highlight of the day might have been when the entire bridal party broke out into a flash dance straight after the bride & groom's first dance much to the surprise and amusement of the guests. It went down an absolute treat!
The girls had a dance off in the bridal suite before the ceremony....the groom made a big (and rather noisy!) entrance to the venue in his dad's converted 1950's Henry J car....and Keith Lemon was a surprise guest during the speeches! Chris & Courtney's guests sure were treated to some fantastic entertainment!
Laughter aside, there was a huge amount of love for this young couple...both from each other and from all their family and friends. It was an absolute pleasure and honour to be part of this day with them, couple's like Chris & Courtney make my job an absolute dream.
On a personal note, this wedding was probably a teeny weeny bit more special to me as it was at The Old Kent Barn, Swingfield... where I got married back in 2015! It's the first time I have been back there since and it was as beautiful as I remember. The staff were as lovely as when I was last there as a bride, and it brought some fantastic memories back. (If you'd like to take a sneaky peak at our big day, take a quick detour here!)
Now grab a cuppa on this fresh February day, and scroll on down for a very condensed version (!) of the lovely Chris & Courtney's special day....
A big thank you to my second shooter on the day Alison Lewis, she was a star as always and captured some great moments from a completely different viewpoint to me! We do offer a two photographer package - please ask on enquiry for more information.
